The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is renowned for its technical and demanding layout.
While the two DRS zones do allow for overtaking opportunities, the slow, twisting nature of sectors 2 and 3 can also make this a challenge.
An abrasive track surface means that drivers need to look after their tyres, which can often play a decisive role in race strategy.

Key corners
-
Turn 4: The right-hander of Repsol has a tight angle on exit which makes it a more challenging corner than first appears.
-
Turn 10: A low-speed left-hander at the end of the second DRS zone which can be a tricky braking point.
-
Turns 12 – 14: A trio of right-handers that increase in speed until the final corner where a clean exit is required for defending or setting up a pass at the start of the next lap.
