One of the oldest circuits in mainland Europe, the Autodromo Nazionale Monza is steeped in history and has long been a favourite on the calendar for teams, drivers and fans alike.
Its mix of long, flat-out sections, fast-flowing corners and hard braking zones make for exciting battles and multiple overtaking opportunities.
Its complex corner sequences, meanwhile, demand expert precision, with strong exits crucial for lap time and mistakes easily punished, particularly in Qualifying.
Key corners
-
Turn 3: A flat-out right-hander, the Curva Grande sets up entry for the second chicane. Maintaining speed and positioning is key for defending or setting up a pass.
-
Turns 8-10: The Ascari Chicane is a technical sequence where commitment and rhythm are crucial. A good run through the chicane can impact speed down the back straight.
-

James Robinson, TEAM PRINCIPAL
“We’ve had a strong first half of the season, and the summer break has allowed the team to recharge and focus on the final four rounds. Monza is a great place to restart the campaign, with its low downforce demands and emphasis on straight-line speed. Our recent performances have been strong, but we know consistency and maximising every opportunity will be vital if we’re to remain firmly in the championship fight.”
