Invicta Racing continued the 2025 FIA Formula 2 season in Saudi Arabia, collecting 18 points across the weekend.
Despite a mixed start to the weekend, Leonardo Fornaroli looked competitive throughout Qualifying and initially occupied provisional pole position before concluding the session in third.
After finishing the practice session second fastest, Roman Stanek placed 10th in Qualifying before a post-session penalty resulted in a three-place grid drop for both the Sprint and Feature Race.

Roman and Leonardo both opted to start the Sprint Race on the Medium tyre, lining up fourth and eighth respectively on the grid.
Roman dropped one position at the start, while Leonardo moved forward three places, leaving them fifth and seventh when a Virtual Safety Car neutralised the race following a first-lap incident.
Following the end of the VSC, both drivers looked competitive in the opening stages of the race, with Roman putting pressure on the field ahead.
Another Safety Car period on lap 16 provided a chance for the team to pit both drivers for fresh Supersoft tyres.
Once racing resumed, Leonardo made further progress, climbing to sixth before slipping back into seventh on the final lap.
2025 Formula 2 SAUDI ARABIAN Sprint Race RESULTS
Roman Stanek: 5th (4 points)
Leonardo Fornaroli: 7th (2 points)
Leonardo began Sunday’s race from third position on the Supersoft tyres. On the Medium compound, Roman started the 28-lap race from 13th and had an excellent start, making up three positions on the opening lap to move into the top 10 while continuing to challenge drivers ahead.
At the end of lap 6, Leonardo pitted for the Medium tyre. His pitstop was slightly slower than usual, and he rejoined the track 17th on the road. As the drivers around him pitted, Roman was up to fourth and looking to make up more places.
When a Virtual Safety Car period began on lap 9, Roman was running third and Leonardo 11th, before racing resumed at the start of lap 11.
Midway through the race, Roman defended well to absorb strong pressure from cars behind, holding them off for several laps before pitting from third at the end of lap 22 and rejoined in 14th on Supersoft tyres.
The duo concluded the race in fourth and 12th, with Leonardo adding 12 points to his and the team’s tally this season.

“It feels good to score points in both races this weekend. Qualifying went well, and while the Sprint and Feature races were challenging, Jeddah is a great track to race at. “It was a mixed weekend for me. Qualifying wasn’t ideal, but I’m proud to have been able to score points in the Sprint. I had a great start in the Feature Race, gaining three places on the opening lap, but there’s definitely room for improvement and I’m ready to take this weekend’s learning into the next round.”
