Monaco headlines the European leg

In international motorsport, very few tracks carry the same reputation as Monaco, and in 2027, the legendary circuit will open the European leg of the FIA Formula 2 Championship.

After racing in the Principality on 3-6 June, Round 6 will take place at Silverstone (2-4 July 2027) while the Red Bull Ring in Austria will mark the mid-way point of the season on 9-11 July 2027.

The European phase will continue in Italy, where Monza’s high-speed layout will continue to thrill, with its long straights, heavy braking zones, and close racing producing some of the most exciting action on the calendar.

Madrid returns for 2027

After racing at Monza, Formula 2 will return to Madrid on 10-12 September 2027.

The Spanish capital, which hosted F2 for the first time in 2026, will feature again in 2027, giving teams another opportunity to tackle the formidable Madring circuit.

From Spain, the 2027 FIA Formula 2 Championship will continue in Baku, Azerbaijan, for Round 10 on 24-26 September 2027.

Istanbul and Mexico City join the F2 calendar

Rounds 11 and 12 will introduce a new challenge for the F2 field with the addition of Istanbul Park and the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, just as the season enters its closing stages.

A true modern classic, Istanbul Park, in Turkey, will bring its own distinctive character to the calendar on 1-3 October 2027 as the final race before a series of flyaway events.

Mexico City will be the site of another major first on 29-31 October 2027, with the demanding Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez testing teams for the second time in as many events.

Qatar and Abu Dhabi close the season

After its maiden visit to Mexico, Formula 2 will return to the Middle East to close the season.

The Lusail International Circuit in Qatar will host the penultimate round of the 2027 season on 3-5 December 2027 before Abu Dhabi brings the campaign to a close on 10-12 December 2027.
