Invicta Racing announces new senior leadership structure for 2025 season

James Robinson and Geoff Spear to lead Invicta Racing into 2025 Formula 2 season

Following the Invicta Watch Group’s acquisition of Invicta Racing, the reigning FIA Formula 2 Champions are excited to announce a new senior leadership team ahead of the 2025 season. James Robinson has been appointed CEO and Team Principal, while Geoff Spear steps into the role of Team Manager.

James brings extensive experience from an 18-year career in Formula 1, including roles at Lotus, Renault (now Alpine), and as Global Sponsorship Director at F1. He then co-founded Pace Six Four, one of the world’s leading motorsport marketing agencies, and has played a key role in Invicta’s involvement in motorsport since its inception.

Geoff, a long-time figure at Invicta Racing and in the Formula 2 paddock, has been with the team since its origins, working as a Race Engineer with multiple F2 winners. His deep understanding of the team and series makes him well positioned for his new leadership role.

Further organisational changes within the team include Colin Sommerville moving from Performance Engineer to Race Engineer and Alex Thew from Data & Systems Engineer to Performance Engineer. Adding further strength in depth, Tom Sluiters joins the team as Data and Systems Engineer, alongside Oliver Atkin and Toby Griffin, both as Race Team Support Technicians.

Everyone at Invicta Racing would like to sincerely thank its original founders, Andy Roche, Declan Lohan, and Paul Devlin, for their dedication to building this championship-winning team. Andy Roche will continue as a member of the team and will act as a consultant to team operations and driver development.

Finally, Avi Lalo becomes Intercompany Operations Manager, to ensure seamless communication between Invicta Racing and its parent company Invicta Watch Group.

With this new structure in place, Invicta Racing aims to build on its 2024 achievements and achieve further success in Formula 2.

Eyal Lalo, CEO Invicta Watch Group, Chairman & Team Owner Invicta Racing

“I am thrilled to have James and Geoff leading the team. Their experience and energy make them the perfect choices as we seek to defend our titles in 2025. We are equally grateful for the other outstanding team members who are continuing the journey with us. Their passion and dedication are the beating heart of this organisation. I am excited to continue building on the championship-winning culture and approach that each of them brings.”

James Robinson, CEO & Team Principal

“I’m honoured to take on this role and excited to build on our momentum from last season. We have an exceptional group of people at Invicta Racing, all working towards one goal. I’m looking forward to the next chapter with this amazing team.”

Geoff Spear, Team Manager

“I’m grateful for this opportunity and eager to help lead Invicta Racing into the future. The breadth of talent in this team is truly extraordinary, and I’m excited for what we can achieve in the season ahead.”

This announcement follows Invicta Watch Group’s recent acquisition of Invicta Racing, marking a significant expansion into the world of motorsports. With this strategic move, Invicta is set to bring its legacy brand of precision, innovation, and bold design into the racing industry, reinforcing its commitment to high-performance excellence.
