Round 10 of the 2025 FIA Formula 2 Championship sees Invicta Racing head to the Hungaroring in Budapest, Hungary, before the start of the summer break.
Invicta Racing enjoyed one of its most successful weekends in FIA Formula 2 at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, excelling in unpredictable conditions to claim victory in both the Sprint and Feature Races, with Leonardo Fornaroli and Roman Stanek respectively.
Collecting a total of 49 points over the weekend, Invicta Racing surged to the top of the teams’ championship, with Leonardo also moving into the lead in the drivers’ standings.

The Hungaroring features many medium-to-low-speed corners, with the tight, technical nature of the layout resembling that of a karting track, making it popular with drivers. With limited overtaking zones, emphasis on securing a good qualifying position is high.
Temperatures in Hungary during July can be extremely high, however there is always a chance that rain could mix things up. The heat will put a focus on tyre wear, and drivers who manage this well over the course of a race will be rewarded.
Key corners
-
Turn 1: The best opportunity to overtake comes at the end of the first DRS zone, but drivers need to be careful not to lock their rear tyres on corner entry.
-
Turn 4: Sitting atop the crest of a hill, it’s incredibly easy to exceed track limits here, but maximising speed through this corner is crucial to lap time.
-
Turns 11-12: A short straight between these two corners allows for an overtaking opportunity into the tight right-hand Turn 12.

James Robinson, TEAM PRINCIPAL
"The team has performed well in Budapest in recent years, and after the results we achieved at Spa-Francorchamps last time out, we will be looking to continue that positive momentum. The Hungaroring is a track where you need to be on the ball from day one, and with overtaking not as easy here, we will need to continue our strong pace in Qualifying to secure good positions. We have shown what we are capable of so far this season, so it would be great to carry that form into the summer break.”
