Invicta Racing travels to the heart of the British countryside for Round 8 of the 2025 FIA Formula 2 Championship – the team’s home race at Silverstone.
A strong weekend in Spielberg saw the team secure a haul of 31 points, with Roman Stanek taking his first silverware of the season in the Sprint Race and Leonardo Fornaroli becoming the only repeat pole sitter of the campaign so far before returning to the Formula 2 podium for a fourth time in the Feature Race.

Located just over 100 miles away from Invicta Racing’s base in Norfolk, Silverstone is a staple on the Formula 2 calendar. The circuit’s unique layout is a favourite for many on the grid due to its high-speed and technical nature, with teams needing to strike a balance between stability and straight-line efficiency.
There are a number of key factors that can influence strategy across the weekend at Silverstone, including tyre degradation and rapidly changing weather conditions.
Key corners
-
Turns 3-4: Village and The Loop are two of the slowest corners on the track. After the high speeds of turn 1 and 2, drivers will need to make sure they don’t enter too fast.
-
Turn 7: Luffield is a long right-hander with multiple driving lines that can be taken to get a clean exit and carry speed onto the main straight.
-
Turn 15: Stowe is the fastest corner on the circuit, awaiting drivers at the end of the Hangar Straight and offering a good opportunity to overtake.

James Robinson, TEAM PRINCIPAL
"After a strong showing in Austria, we’re really excited for our home race. There’s always something special about coming to Silverstone – the atmosphere is incredible, and the support means a lot to the whole team. Of course, there are some unknowns heading into the weekend, particularly with how the British weather might affect the races and our strategy, but we’re focused on continuing the positive momentum from last time out and making the most of every opportunity."
