Firmly into the second half of the season, Invicta Racing heads to Belgium for Round 9 of the 2025 FIA Formula 2 Championship at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
It was a memorable home race for the team at Silverstone, with Leonardo Fornaroli claiming his maiden Formula 2 win and Roman Staněk joining him on the podium in the Sprint Race.
The weekend’s points haul was further boosted by Leonardo’s P6 finish in a challenging Feature Race, while Roman unfortunately retired following a strategic gamble on slick tyres in mixed conditions.

Fast, flowing, and adrenaline-fueled, the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps lies deep in the Ardennes forest and offers one of motorsport’s most thrilling challenges, with a mix of varied corners and long straights demanding both precision and bravery from the drivers.
The circuit’s long lap and Spa’s notoriously unpredictable weather combine to add strategic complexity, with sudden rain and / or rapidly drying patches of tarmac forcing teams to stay flexible and make critical tyre / pit stop decisions throughout the race.
Key corners

Turns 2-4: One of the most iconic sequences in motorsport, Eau Rouge and Raidillon require full commitment from drivers as they carry momentum onto the Kemmel Straight.
-
Turn 11: Descending the hill, the left-hander may look simple on entry, however an unforgiving gravel trap awaits on exit.
-
Turn 17: A fast left-hand kink that drivers will take nearly flat out, setting them up for the run into the final braking zone.

"Spa is a real highlight of the season – an iconic circuit that pushes both drivers and teams to the limit. The combination of high-speed corners, elevation changes and unpredictable weather means anything can happen and we will need to be ready to adapt. After a strong performance at Silverstone, the team is feeling positive and we’ll look to continue this momentum into the weekend.”
