After an extended break, the 2026 FIA Formula 2 Championship campaign resumes this week in Miami, Florida – home of Invicta Watch Group. As the team and series alike make their North American debut, Invicta Racing proudly takes to the Miami International Autodrome with two Latin American drivers in Rafael Câmara and Joshua Dürksen.
Invicta Racing started the 2026 season in strong fashion at Albert Park in Melbourne, Australia, with Joshua securing victory in the Sprint Race, while Rafael claimed his first FIA Formula 2 podium with a P2 finish in the Feature Race.
In total, Invicta Racing amassed 29 points across the weekend and heads to the USA in P2 in the Teams’ Championship, with Rafael and Joshua P2 and P7 in the Drivers’ Standings respectively.

Located in Miami Gardens, the Miami International will host FIA Formula 2 for the first time in 2026, becoming the first North American venue to do so.
Looping around the iconic Hard Rock Stadium complex – home to NFL franchise, the Miami Dolphins – this temporary street circuit provides a unique spectacle both on and off track.
With three long straights, countless technical sections, and rolling elevation, the layout tests every aspect of skill behind the wheel and places drivers at the heart of the action with every lap.
KEY CORNERS
-
Turn 1: A heavy braking zone with open entry and DRS on approach, Turn 1 represents the first opportunity to overtake around the lap.
-
Turn 11: Another significant braking zone, and following a long DRS run from the exit of Turn 9, Turn 11 a critical overtaking opportunity.
-
Turn 17: DRS also feeds directly into this corner, making it one of the best places to overtake around the lap, and one of the last opportunities to do so.

The Miami International Autodrome is a new circuit for FIA Formula 2 but, based on its configuration and characteristics, has key similarities to Albert Park – the venue for the opening weekend of the 2026 season.
While every team will be on an equal footing in Miami with no historic data available, Invicta Racing enters the weekend with momentum after taking consecutive podiums at the season opener.
JAMES ROBINSON, TEAM PRINCIPAL
“It’s great to get the season back underway, and even more exciting to be heading into a completely new challenge. This is a home race for us, with Invicta Watch Group headquartered in Miami, and we’re proud to be representing the Invicta family on track this week. Thanks to a victory for Joshua and further podium for Rafael, we were able to start the season well in Melbourne, but with a new circuit comes a fresh set of unknowns for everyone. Our focus is to stay sharp and adaptable so we can execute cleanly from the outset. If we can do that, there’s every reason to believe that we can build on our early momentum and deliver another solid result.”
