Invicta Racing heads to the beating heart of British motorsport, Silverstone Circuit, for Round 7 of the 2026 FIA Formula 2 season and a home event for the team
Invicta Racing secured a double points finish in an eventful weekend at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria.
After losing a points finish in the Sprint due to a post-race penalty, Rafael Câmara battled to fourth in the Feature Race and narrowly missed out on a podium finish.
Joshua Dürksen, who retired from the Sprint, recovered to 10th place in the Feature before being promoted to ninth following post-race penalties, thereby scoring two points.
Invicta Racing heads to Silverstone fourth in the Teams’ Championship while Rafael continues to hold third and Joshua 13th in the Drivers’ Standings.

A highlight on the FIA Formula 2 calendar, Silverstone Circuit is one of Invicta’s home events, with the venue located just over 100 miles away from the race team’s headquarters in Norfolk.
High-speed, technical in nature and consistently impacted by changeable weather conditions, Silverstone is a favourite for many drivers, as the grid strives to strike a balance between straight-line speed and cornering stability.
KEY CORNERS
-
Turns 3-4: After navigating the high-speed corners of Turns 1 and 2, drivers must carefully manage their pace as they contend with Village and The Loop – two of the slowest corners on the track.
-
Turn 7: A long-left hander, Luffield presents multiple racing lines to drivers. Securing a clean exit onto the main straight is critical to optimise lap time.
-
Turn 15: Stowe sits at the end of the Hangar Straight and is the fastest corner on the circuit. It offers drivers a good opportunity to overtake.

Invicta Racing secured a double podium finish at Silverstone Circuit last year, with Leonardo Fornaroli’s Sprint win marking the team’s first victory of the 2025 season.
Both Invicta Racing drivers have prior experience at Silverstone, with Rafael racing at the venue in FIA Formula 3, while Joshua competed at the track in Formula 2 in 2024 and 2025.
JAMES ROBINSON, TEAM PRINCIPAL
“We know the level of performance that we’re capable of as a team, and while we showed some good promise in Austria, we unfortunately didn’t manage to live up to our full potential across the weekend. Silverstone following so soon afterwards is a blessing for us, because now we have a good opportunity to simultaneously regroup while further building our current momentum. As a home race for the race team, Silverstone is one of the biggest events of our season and, based on our form, I see no reason we can’t be in the fight this weekend.”
