The 2026 FIA Formula 2 Championship is set to contest 14 rounds, with each one running as part of the support bill for the Formula One World Championship.
The tenth season of Formula 2 will see 28 races across 13 countries, as the championship continues its role as the final step on the single-seater ladder.

When does the 2026 Formula 2 season start?
The 2026 FIA Formula 2 season got underway in early March at the Albert Park Circuit in Melbourne.

The Americas
In May, Formula 2 will visit Miami and Montreal for rounds 2 and 3 respectively, as part of an updated calendar in 2026.
European leg of the F2 season
The championship will return to Europe in June, beginning with the historic event in Monaco. A busy stretch follows, with rounds at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain and the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, also taking place in June.
The summer stint continues into July with a visit to Silverstone, before heading to Spa-Francorchamps two weeks later.
Round 9 will take place at the Hungaroring in Budapest, before the championship takes its annual pause for the summer break.
Madrid debuts on the F2 calendar
Racing resumes in early September at Monza, before Formula 2 makes its first appearance at the all-new Madring street circuit in Madrid. The new venue will conclude the European portion of the 2026 Formula 2 calendar.
Flyaway rounds and season finale
Following the European stretch, it’s time for Formula 2 to travel to Baku in September for Round 12. After a short pause, the penultimate round of the season will take place at Lusail International Circuit in November.
The 2026 FIA Formula 2 season will conclude at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi on 5-6 December, bringing the championship to a close.
