Invicta Racing has introduced a new senior leadership structure and welcomes two new drivers to its line-up for 2025. Here, you can find all the key information on the reigning FIA Formula 2 Champions ahead of the new season.
INVICTA RACING
2024 marked the inaugural Formula 2 season for Invicta Racing under its new identity, and it proved to be one for the history books. Taking its first-ever titles, the team made an instant impact on the Formula 1 feeder series with two talented drivers in Gabriel Bortoleto and Kush Maini.
Securing three wins, poles and fastest laps, and a total of 13 podiums between them, Gabriel and Kush’s combined points tally saw Invicta Racing to the 2024 Teams’ Championship.
At a memorable event in Monza, Gabriel became the first driver in Formula 2 history to go from last on the grid to first at the flag. By the end of the season, he’d secured the Drivers’ Championship – following in the footsteps of fellow Formula 1 graduates Charles Leclerc, George Russell and Oscar Piastri by taking back-to-back titles in his rookie seasons of Formula 3 and Formula 2.
INVICTA WATCH GROUP
Originally founded in Chiasso, Switzerland in 1837, Invicta Watch Group is a brand dedicated to innovation and quality while ensuring its expertly crafted timepieces remain accessible for consumers at every price point.
Since 2022, Invicta has been a presence in the global motorsport paddock – first partnering with Juan Manuel Correa during the American-Ecuadorian driver’s inspirational Formula 2 comeback campaign, before taking an ownership stake in Virtuosi Racing and rebranding the team to become Invicta Racing in 2024.
The drivers
An all-new line-up for 2025, Leonardo Fornaroli and Roman StanÄk have been part of the same team before – albeit while racing in different categories – and will build on an already strong relationship as Invicta Racing’s driver pairing for the coming season.
Leonardo Fornaroli
Reigning FIA Formula 3 Champion Leonardo Fornaroli makes the step up to Formula 2 with Invicta Racing in 2025 and will be looking to capitalise on the calm mindset and relentless consistency that earned him last year’s Formula 3 title.
The Italian made his first foray into single seaters in 2020, claiming a win and multiple podiums in the ultra-competitive Italian F4 Championship alongside the 2022 FRECA rookie title. In 2023, Leonardo made the jump to FIA Formula 3, taking three podiums and a pole position that season before becoming Champion the following year.
ROMAN STANÄK
Czech racer Roman StanÄk will be pushing to get back to the top step of the podium in 2025, building on his maiden Formula 2 win in Melbourne last year.
Roman made his single seater debut in the ADAC Formula 4 and Italian F4 Championships in 2019, taking three race victories across the two campaigns and clinching the ADAC Formula 4 rookie title.
From 2020 to 2022 he competed in Formula 3, recording a win at Imola and six podiums to finish fifth in the 2022 Drivers’ Championship. In 2023, Roman progressed to Formula 2 and secured his first victory in the Melbourne Sprint Race the following year.
